Summary

Wednesday 5 December 2018

This morning our teacher Mrs Tui paired boys & girls up. We all had a scripture each we had to read our scripture. When we were done we had to unpack the story and write a summary about the scripture.

Summary:
My partner & I were given a story about a man named Noah who lived in fellowship with God. God commanded Noah to build an ark for himself and his family and the animals because the world was evil.

Camp

This is a photo of me and 1 of my best friends Laki
This photo was taken at the West Waves Pool in Henderson(it was part of our activities). We had an awesome time at the pools. So what we were doing is I would hold on Laki's legs then he would hold on the wire and I would try and pull him off.
I had such a great time at Camp!   :)

On a scale of 1-5, how successfully did you problem solve with your partner today?

The scale is 4: I was reading all the scripts I found

Please include anyways you would collaborate differently with them next time you play.

Next time when I play with my partner we can share the netbook and not keeping the netbook to themselves

Rugby Tournament Report

Thursday 6 September 2018
On a windy and dark Wednesday, the year 5 & 6 boys and
the year 7 & 8 boys went to Varsity for a rugby tournament

First my team and I warmed up by playing a game of rugby.
Then  we practiced on our passing for the game.

We were playing against Barbarians.
When the whistle went we were told to get ready & to stand in our position and
then the whistle goes again to start the game.
I drop-kick the ball with a bang to my feet  and the boys chased the ball &
tackled the other opponents.
One of the boys tackled the opponent and
then the halfback for the other team passes it to the wing & he scores.
I kick again & the other opponent catches the ball,
I chase him and  I tackled him with a boom to his legs & a slam to the floor.
Our team scored 3 tries & the other team scored 4 tries.

Our second game was against Bailey Road.
We scored no tries and they scored 4 tries.
I think if we were more faster to the ruck we would have got more tries.

The third game was against Glen Innes.
We scored no tries and they scored 6 tries.
I think that some of the players in my team were a bit scared or too tired to tackle.

Then the next game was against Panmure Bridge.
We scored 2 tries and they scored 5 tries.
I think that this game was alright because we were good at the ruck
& good at our tackling but tired at the same time.

The last game was against Pt England.
We scored no tries and they scored about 10 tries.
I think that we too tired from playing the other teams,
but at least we tried our best.

So I ran home to my grandpa because he had guns, they were after my grandpa so I tried to protect him. So he told me that he could hear footsteps of men coming to the front door. The purge rushed into my room & I sliced there head off chop their fingers off & fed it to my dog because he was waiting for a nice delicious meal.

Reflection On Retreat

Friday 18 May 2018
Reflection on the retreat:

The thing I will do differently at the retreat is collaborating
with my team & think before I do something.
If I think first then we build a house we will know what to do,
but if we don’t think it will just break down.

This creation represent my thinking and response
to our retreat day.
I made a person helping another person to get up.
It represents caring & helping.
It reminds me that I can continue to care and help others
in life.

Art Work

Learn: We were learning about the art of Julian Opie.
We created a self-portrait of ourselves using the art of Julian Opie, copying the features on his art.

Reflection: My reflection on my Artwork was very easy because all we had to do was to sketch our own face.We had to take a photo of our own face & send it to the teacher. I was one of the first students to finish the drawing(Sketching our face) .I'm just glad that I finish my artwork at the end of the day.

Explaining the process of the LOCK DOWN:

Friday 2 March 2018
Explaining the process of the Lock down in our school:

During the lockdown there was a bell that rang on & off,
it was a Lockdown drill.
Firstly we had to lock every door & close all the windows.
Secondly we had to get under the table &
lay down on our stomachs.
Thirdy we had to be quiet &
just lay down on the floor.
Lastly we had to wait for Mr Coakley,
to knock on the window and talk to us,
about what we’re going to do next.

GOD STRAND - Highlighting keywords:

Friday 23 February -
Highlighting the keywords from the text:
God calls people to grow in virtue. A virtue is a quality or way of doing things that lead to good. The English word virtue comes from the Latin word meaning strength or courage, so virtue is being strong in goodness and mana, and strong for God.   A virtuous person is one who always tries to choose what is good, and to persevere in doing good and what is tika even when it is difficult. When they make a habit of choosing good, they make virtue a way of life.
LEARN: I learned how to find & understand keywords in the text by highlighting the keywords:

GOD STRAND - Virtue

LEARN: I understand the meaning of the word Virtue. God desires humanity to grow in virtue.
