Activity 1
After you have read the quick facts about each place you must choose ONE country that you would like to ‘visit.’ On your blog post the name of the country and tell us why you have chosen to visit it. Please give, at least, two reasons for choosing the country.

I chose Germany.

Why I would visit Germany:

1. My first reason to visit Germany is because I want to visit their landmarks, such as Brandenburg gate and the fountain in the Linderhof Palace Germany.

2. My second reason to go to Germany is to see one of the boot camps that were set up by Hitler.

  1. Great Macky,
Nice choice of country you wanted to go! In fact great reasons why you want to go there for! Have a great Christmas and a happy new year!!

  2. Guten tag Macky,

Kia ora and welcome to the Summer Learning Journey! It's awesome to have you blogging with us. I'm really looking forward to following your progress over the next few weeks.

My name is Dan, and I'm working alongside Rachel and Mark over the summer. I'm lucky enough to be able to read your blogs and I'll be leaving comments as I go. If you want to reply to my comments then please do! I'd love to know what you think, or if you have any questions, feel free to ask away.

I like your choice of country to visit. I think Germany would be a fascinating country to travel to. They have such a rich, extensive cultural history. You could learn so much about Europe while you're over there.

If I was going to travel to Germany, I'd want to check out as many of their landmarks as possible too. I like that you've been able to identify some of them already!

There are quite a few concentration camps still existing in Germany that you can visit. Places like Auschwitz and Dachau are kept as monuments to the thousands of people who passed away there during World War II. They would certainly be a significant place to visit.

Good luck for the rest of your blogs Macky. I'm looking forward to reading all about your learning journey through Germany.

    Keep up the great work!
