DAY 3 ACTIVITY 1

Activity 1
Watch both of the current Air New Zealand safety videos. The first is a video that stars the All Blacks. The second is a video that stars Rhys Darby and Anna Faris (Hollywood actress).  Links for the videos are found below:
One of the things you need to do when you are on board you need to buckle up your seat belt and when you are going to stand up or going off board you need to UN click the belt.

Seconds thing you need to do when the bag of oxygen comes down place it over your mouth and nose it can help you breathe better,

The last thing is that you are not allowed to smoke on board, you might drop the smoke and it will burn and it might cause fire, it might cause everyone to panic.

  1. Hi Macky,

It's great to see that you were able to watch the Air New Zealand safety videos and select three important rules that you must follow when on an airplane.

The first item in your list is certainly important. You really do need to wear your seat belt during take off, landing and any time that there is air turbulence and the plane is bumping around a little bit in the air. Most of the time there is little turbulence, however, and you can undo or 'unclick' your seat belt and move around the airplane freely.

It is important to remember that you can never, at any time, smoke on board an airplane. You're very right to note that you could cause a fire on board the plane and put everyone's lives at risk. You could also cause people around you to have difficulty breathing as the smoke from the cigarette would become trapped in the airplane and it would fill the entire cabin with smoky fumes. Any one who has asthma or a breathing issue would probably find it very hard to breathe normally if the airplane was filled with smoke!

Thanks for posting these great rules, Macky. It is obvious that you watched the videos and paid careful attention to them.

    Awesome work.

    Rachel :)

  2. Kia orana Macky,

Whenever we are travelling anywhere by plane, it is super important that we listen to all of the instructions from the flight crew, and follow them at all times! I can see here in your blog that you have watched both videos very closely, and you would make a great passenger. Well done.

Have you ever flown on a plane with Air New Zealand before? They are famous for making their 'quirky' safety videos that get them a lot of media attention worldwide. They've got a new one out called 'Summer of Safety'. You should check it out sometime, you might see a few familiar faces!

Thanks for a great blog Macky :-)

    Dan.
