DAY 5 ACTIVITY 2

Activity 2
Read the following three reviews of books that are really popular right now in Canada. If you had to choose one for Curious Kiwi to read on the plane, which one would you choose? Post the name of the book that you would chose on your blog. Below the title explain why you would choose that book.

Greg Heffley has always been in a hurry to grow up. But is getting older really all it’s cracked up to be? Greg suddenly finds himself dealing with the pressures of boy-girl parties, increased responsibilities, and even the awkward changes that come with getting older—all without his best friend, Rowley, at his side. Can Greg make it through on his own? Or will he have to face the “ugly truth.”

I would choose Diary of a Wimpy Kid because I think it is Hilarious, and it reminds me of the mischievous things I did when I was young.

  3. Hi Macky,

This is a great choice of book! It is really funny and very entertaining. I had to smile when I read your blog and you said that it reminds you of mischievous things that you did when you were younger. What kinds of mischievous things did you do? Were you quite cheeky?

My son, Aronui, can be quite cheeky sometimes. He's 6 1/2 years old and he really into playing practical jokes on people. He's also quite interested in trying to scare me by hiding in dark corners and then suddenly jumping out and yelling, 'Boo!' He really caught me out this morning. I wasn't paying attention and came aroudn the corner of the house only to have Aronui jump out and say, 'Boo!' I literally jumped about half a metre and screamed.

    What a cheeky guy!

Hope that you are having a nice, relaxing and calm start to 2017!

    Rachel :)

  4. I had a sneaking suspicion you would pick this book... I wonder why! Haha. This book sounds really good too, the characters certainly sound like they're quite mischievous.

When I was a bit younger I used to love reading books like this about cheeky kids and all the trouble they used to get up to! Have you been getting some ideas have you?? Just kidding :-)

Which book in the series is your favourite so far? Thanks for another great recommendation Macky, Curious Kiwi will be so happy with all of the books he has to read!

    Cheers,
    Dan.
